God is coming and he says we are to make a highway for his arrival. What shape is your spiritual highway in? Is it full of the potholes of sin? Has it been patched so many times you’re not even sure where the original road is? Advent is a great time to resurface the whole thing. That’s what we do in the Sacrament of Penance.
Sin fills our road with annoying potholes that make God’s coming more difficult. Confession gives us a brand new beautiful road. No one likes road construction. It’s annoying. But we can all appreciate a newly surfaced road. You deserve a new road this Advent. So put out the construction cones and get to confession.
