Taking Leave

This past weekend I announced at the parish that I am taking a leave from priestly ministry. This has been a very difficult decision and I ask for your prayers. I have received so many blessings over the last 20 years and my heart is filled with gratitude.

For the immediate future, I now need to find a place to live and would appreciate any advice. Before entering seminary I worked as a Software Engineer and so will likely look for work in this area after taking a little break. Leaving anything is emotional for me, but I’m excited to see what God might have in store down the trail.

This site at ShawnTheBaptist.org will continue and I will continue to discern how God might be calling me to online evangelization in the future. Pray for me.
