From Mt. Tabor and the transfiguration to Mt. Calvary and the crucifixion. Being on top of a mountain gives you a great vantage point to see clearly all around. By contrast, being in a valley can often leave you feeling closed in and doubtful. Our life is filled with both peaks and valleys. It’s good sometimes to look at where we’ve been and where we’re going. That’s what Jesus does for the apostles on Mt. Tabor.
