This is the first in a series of three talks given at Garmin over lunch. In this first talk, Shawn focusses on the three comings or “Advents” of Jesus. To be ready for Christmas, it is important to understand the Jewish history of King David, the Babylonian exile, the eventual return from exile, and the expectation of the coming of the Messiah. Understanding what God’s people were expecting 2000 years ago can help us stir up our own longing for the coming of the Messiah today.
